The stages of an ACEO

I have been working on a couple of ACEO's for the past couple of weeks.  Every time I photograph it I see flaws that need improving.  When is enough enough?  I am so worried that I will not do a good job and people will criticize.  With all my "talk" to encourage others, here I am-worried!

FIRST DRAFT

SECOND DRAFT

THIRD DRAFT

Did I mention that my camera is taking the colors differently every time?  The second draft is closer to the colors.  What to do?

I guess the good thing is, I am being creative, which is the goal.

I like the third one best with the embellishments. I find it funny that we both started making ACEO's at the same time!

Us creative people are never satisfied -- Very nicely done Sue!

Nice!

If the camera is being inconsistent, try a free photo editing program like Picnik. It can help you change lighting and make things look like the actual product. But you've got a good start!

Oh, it's so neat! It looks larger than my aceos though. I ended up taking mine on a slightly overcast day in the kitchen in front of a large window without the flash. I took a buncha pics and finally picked three that I liked.

I don't know anything about ACEOs but this looks super bright and cheerful to me. I like it!

I think it is lovely, Sue! That is the trouble...stopping before you go too far. I have that trouble when I'm painting a mural. I keep thinking of things to add and then all of a sudden it is overloaded. I try to stop before I think I'm done. :)

We are our worst critic. Enjoy the process. We all are learning each and every project.
